First of all, let me introduce myself.  My name is Amanda.  I decided to join Elizabeth on this fashion blog adventure because it sounded like a really fun thing to do and it's something that we have in common and can share with each other.  That being said, let's move on to the good stuff...this jewelry!  

Okay, I am just going to be honest with you, I LOVE Virgin Saints and Angels jewelry!  VSA jewelry is made in Mexico.  Each piece of jewelry is hand crafted so it is always different from the next making it a unique piece of jewelry to own and a great conversation starter.  It has become very popular with celebrities.  The Kardashians have even started their own design within the VSA collections.  I can't tell you the amount of times I am complemented on my necklace.  My first and only VSA jewelry is a necklace that was given to me by my friend Ashley.  She owns The Pink Hanger and sells this jewelry in her store.  My mom and mother-in-law are also obsessed with this jewelry.  It's one of our favorite gifts to exchange with each other.  There are necklaces, earrings, cuffs, belt buckles, etc.  You can mix and match it, dress it up, and dress it down.  It is one of my "go-to" pieces of jewelry and I am dying to add to my collection!

Sunday Brunch

Hello there folks. So this morning me and B went our to brunch with some of our friends at a local mexican joint. It was delicious not to mention they serve bottomless mimosas on Sundays. Unfortunately after brunch B got really sick and now we're laying in bed watching movies while I take care of him. So needless to say I did not do any kind of shopping today. I have one more day to get some colorful items for the 30 for 30 remix and to decide on what exactly is going to make the final cut.

Also this is the first time I've belted a scarf and I think I'm feeling it. Today was supposed to be Amanda's first day posting, but it didn't workout. So hopefully she'll make an appearance tomorrow. She is talking about doing the 30 for 30. Which will be fun!

Also we saw the cutest puppy dog today.

I want one! But its ok. Nothing can compete with....

I'm not going to lie, I did not like this hair style for the dress but it worked for the wedding dress. This is my awkward home owner not yet face. I make bad faces a lot.

Style Me Pretty: Here Comes the Bride

So here is the dress. I'm happy. I picked this veil. Yay! I'm getting married. I'm getting married to my best friend! I'm going to be a bridezilla! Wait.... I don't care. I forgot for a second. All I want is to see my best friend at the end of the isle. I have to take care of stuff. But hey it will work itself out. Any way I've rambled enough. Try not to hate me for it. I warned you. Word vomit. Get with it people.

EDIT: There were pictures here, but because someone (I'm looking at you Engineer) is a sneaky sneaky fiance I have had to remove these pictures. Maybe they'll be back later. Probably not though.

Woo! I'm a bride! We're going to be rolling out some changes here at Girls Who Wear Pearls/Little Scottish Girl.

I shopped today, but it was totally for a dress and a home so that has been moved to tomorrow. Color is the goal! Get there cheap ladies and gents.

So. Today was one hell of a day.  We did it. We are buying a house. It isn't official, but we're doing the business. I'm excited and I need to apply the 30 for 30 ideal to my life because I have a lot of expenses coming my way. So pumped! I hope you are having a blast this weekend! Fun for all!

Hello! Today was one heck of a day!

Menswear! Ok so while this not exactly how mean wear their clothing this is a piece of mens clothing. This is in fact B's shirt. We cleaned out our closet this last week and I decided I wanted this shirt. I'm impatient so I just went ahead and wore it, but I'm planning on tailoring it so that it will fit better. Here is the first draft of this outfit, but once I tailor the shirt I'll repost the difference in fit.

If you are wondering the pictures are from outside our date restaurant which was a BLAST! I love my fiance. Date night was a success. The other thing we did today was look at houses and oh my goodness. So much fun. We found a few houses we loved but we'll see.

Thing are busy in our house. But hey, isn't that always how life is? So, tomorrow is dress day. Tomorrow night check back for dress pictures and some veil options. Also tomorrow is shopping! I"m going to a new local boutique and Ross. I need some accessories with color for the 30 for 30 challenge. Also I need to actually pick all my items for the challenge.

Lady In Black

Hello, I'm finally done with the work week! And here is the styling for today.

I know what you're thinking. Does this girl own any kind of colorful clothing? Yes, yes I do. I just don't get much of a chance to wear color to work. One day I'll put on some color and show the world.

So tomorrow is looking at houses and then tomorrow night I have a hot date! Tonight is watching Zombieland with the fiance and pigging out on pizza and hot wings. Life is good.

I'm going to be doing some shopping this weekend since starting Tuesday there will be no shopping for a month (30 for 30 Challenge). I have a few goals and they are along the lines of red belt/shoes/cardigans, mustard yellow shoes/bag and then really if I just find a good deal on something cute. Mostly accessories.

Anyone have any big plans for the weekend? Doing any shopping? How about gearing up for the 30 for 30 challenge?

Hello! Today Yesterday was a good day. Want to see what I wore? Ok. I'll let you in on the secret, but don't tell anyone.

I started writing this post last night when I got home, but I fell asleep after I got the pictures added. So here it is folks.

Last night me and B went for Tex-Mex with some friends and let me tell you! Yum! Nothing hits the spot like a fried burrito and a margarita to wash it down. We heard 2, count that 2, good bar bands. Which is surprising and to top it all off it wasn't that cold outside!

These are the Go Max Fleming Purple Suede Platform Pump. This morning I walked into my closet and wanted some colorful pumps to wear. But to my surprise realized that I didn't have any. So I just went for black instead. Well seeing as purple is my favorite color I found these bad boys online and now I want to scoop them up!

Just For Funz

So these are just some of the dresses that I tried on.

 This dress is actually supposed to be tea length, but I'm just that short. Oh yeah.

What is wrong with my hand?

I was very fortunate that only one of the bridal shops that I went to wouldn't let me take pictures of the dresses. This has been one of the best filters for me. I am realizing even with my everyday clothing that when you take pictures you get the full feel of the outfit. Not just the one staring back at you in the mirror.

The picture principal holds true to especially the last dress. We got to the store this was the first dress I put on, and my mum took a picture and then my camera died. So, I didn't get to see the pictures. I thought this dress was the one. In the store I loved it. I was running around finding veils, shoes and everything else that I might need. Then when I got home and looked at the photos I really was not feeling it. I could see that it didn't flatter my body like I remembered it had in the store.

Then I went to another bridal shop to try the dress on again, and unknowingly found the dress I really do love and feel like the bride in. I didn't intend to love the dress I found. I was just going through the motions, but it blew the other dress out of the water. The only pictures that exist of this dress are on my mother-in-laws phone and those photos look so much more flattering than any of the pictures that were taken with my camera.

Moral of the story...TAKE PICTURES! Also sleep on it. It is so easy to get caught up in the fun of trying on dresses, and picking a dress that is just better than what you had on and not the dress that makes you feel the best.

All in all I have had a blast trying on dresses. Its been fun to share this with my mum and B's mom.

Style Me Pretty: Breton Stripes

This is my take on the stripe.

So, the geniuses behind Everybody, Every wear have put it out there that today is the day to wear Breton Stripes. I've been loving seeing everyones take on the trend. 

I'm not entirely sure that this counts as the Breton Stripes, but hey it's horizontal and really I'm just having fun.

I would really have like to wear this shirt on its own with the skirt, but unfortunately it is too casual for work. I added a cardigan over top and tucked it in. I felt a little bit like a sailor today, and I was digging it.

Style Me Pretty: Here Comes the Bride

Hello! I'm back already.

And its buy the dress week! That picture is not the dress. I don't actually have a picture on my camera of the dress, yet. This weekend I'll be going to a bridal shop to purchase my dress and I have a bit of a dilemma. I wanted to throw it out into the blog world in hopes that someone will stumble upon this take pity on me and help a girl out. I love my dress. I have the shoes, and the hair pieces. What I do not have or have any aptitude to pick out is a veil. 

I am looking for suggestions and once I have pictures of my dress on me and the hair pieces I'll post them and see if anything comes back my way! You can't tell but I'm crossing my fingers and toes for good luck. I heard it works.

It's Raining It's Pouring...

The old man is snoring! He went to bed and bumped his head and couldn't get up in the morning! 

I can not even begin to convey how wet it is here. Oh well. I wasn't planning on wearing the blazer all day today, and originally I had the belt on under the blazer. However, I quickly realized that it was too cold/rainy to take it off so I belted the darn thing. 

Can I please say that I love these shoes. They have just enough platform that I can walk through puddles and not get my toes wet. And really isn't that what it is all about with good footwear? Well that and they are super comfy. 

In other news I have a special edition of Style Me Pretty coming up! In fact I'm going to go make a new post for it. I know you are hanging on the edge of your seat, but don't worry I'll be back before you know it.
