Style Me Pretty

Shirt: Banana Republic, Cardigan: Gap, Pants: JCrew, Boots: Jeffrey Campbell

This outfit makes me think of a pumpkin spice latte. No I can not explain it. Maybe its the mix of color and texture, but something about this says pumpkin spice latte to me.

It is finally getting cool enough for me to wear these pants! They are corduroy and I got them awhile ago during a JCrew summer sale; however, as you may know, cords are really warm. They are also really orange so I am having trouble deciding what to pair them with. So far I mostly reserve them for game days (Hook'em Horns!). I would love some color mixing ideas for these pants, so if you have any suggestions please speak up!

Side note writing about corduroy made me think of this.

Its a ghost! Oh wait that is just me. Being pale, and semi-transparent.

Floral skirt is from The Pink Hanger and shirt is from Gap. I've been sitting on these pictures for a few days, but still can't come up with a darn thing to say. So instead I will present you with Perpetual Kid. This a website I have just recently discovered. It is awesome. As evidence I present:

That is a 3 pound gummy worm!

Candy not your thing? How about some bacon....

.... bandages that is.

So, in conclusion if you are as much of a kid as I am you will thoroughly enjoy this site. Have a great day!

ps.
If I had a kid this would definitely happen at Halloween! Baby Dracula

Style Me Pretty

The maxi skirt came from the always lovely Pink Hanger, and I've been wearing it around all summer. This time around I tried to dress it down for a more casual day, and I would like to think that I was successful. The Engineer (adopted bloggy name for B) and I went to Disney world and Universal studios last year just before we got engaged, and before we left we picked up these styling shirts that say Thing 1 and Thing 2. I really like them because when we stand together it makes my favorite number (yes I still have a favorite number and it is 12).

On a completely unrelated note, The Engineer and I are getting married in exactly one month. I can't believe it is so close, and I'm unbelievably excited to marry my best friend. Have a happy Thursday lovelies!

Style Me Pretty

So you're back....

 From outer space.
I just walked in to find you here..

With that sad look upon your face.

Where it came from:
Shoes - Spotted Moth
Jeans - PacSun
Shirt - American Eagle/Forever 21
Necklace - Forever 21
Bag - Feed My Starving Children

Ok. So, I'm no Gloria Gaynor. However I am BACK! I've been gone for a while, but I'm making my debut today.

That bag is the Traveling Bag for a Cause. A good cause that feeds those who need it. This bag was originally bought from Feed My Starving Children (Feeding God’s Starving Children Hungry in Body and Spirit). Brought to you by Spoils of WearI think that is pretty good cause. So, if you have some time visit their website, and make a difference.

Well I am back. So much chaos and excitement! I have been taking outfit pictures they just don't seem to make it onto the computer/blog.

I wore this outfit to my brothers ring dunk! And if you are an Aggie or know about Aggies then you'll know that this is a big deal and I'm pretty darn proud of my brother for getting his. However, I did have to represent my long horns and wear some burnt orange (I got hissed at because of this - totally worth it!).

I'll try to come back later with some of the fun photos I've been hoarding!

Style Me Pretty: Here Comes the Bride

Hello! I'm back already.

And its buy the dress week! That picture is not the dress. I don't actually have a picture on my camera of the dress, yet. This weekend I'll be going to a bridal shop to purchase my dress and I have a bit of a dilemma. I wanted to throw it out into the blog world in hopes that someone will stumble upon this take pity on me and help a girl out. I love my dress. I have the shoes, and the hair pieces. What I do not have or have any aptitude to pick out is a veil.

I am looking for suggestions and once I have pictures of my dress on me and the hair pieces I'll post them and see if anything comes back my way! You can't tell but I'm crossing my fingers and toes for good luck. I heard it works.

Breakfast at Elizabeth's

When I put this outfit on this morning I felt a lot like Audrey Hepburn in that classic LBD from Breakfast at Tiffany's. Such a good movie. Any who, this outfit is my attempt to give my conservative work dress a little twist of color. I love these shoes, but I never pull them out of my closet to give them the wear they deserve. This dress is from the Banana Republic Factory store and has a sweet little key hole cut out in the back. It's so small that I can get away with wearing it at work with no cardigan. Well be nice all, this is my first attempt at styling an outfit for teh internetz.

Where did it come from:
Dress - Banana Republic Factory
Shoes - Bakers
Necklace - Chinatown (San Francisco)
Cluch - Not sure.

ps.
Like that brooding teenager look I'm giving you? I pulled that one out just for you. Oh yeah.

Pick of the Day

Todays pick comes from Madwell.
This the Backyard Plaid Boyshirt and I love it. I've been seeing plaid all over the place lately and I'm really digging this trend. It is a fun and timeless print. I think after the 30 for 30 challenge is over I'm going to invest in a new plaid shirt.

Inaugural Post/Clothing Pick of the Day

Here is to the first post of (hopefully) many.

This is the Pleasantly Precocious Top from ModCloth. If you just started building a closet I think this would be a great basic staple because of the neutral color scheme and fun details. This could easily be styled with a funky skirt or just a pair of skinny jeans. Its very versatile. Either way its cute, and I want it. Too bad I'm broke.
